Love It!

As last season ended, Booth had just woke up from a coma where he dreamed of an alternate world where he and Bones were married. His first words to Bones were, "Who are you?"

The team is back, doing what they do best, solving murder mysteries. In he first mystery of the season, "Harbingers in the Fountain", twelve human skeletons are found underneath the fountain at the Jeffersonian. The team works to solve the mystery of these skeletons, which appear to have been there much longer than they actually were. When a psychic's sister is found among the remains, Booth and Bones discover that they are all part of a cult. This "cult" was really just a group of people who were scammed by a guy looking to make some extra money.

Meanwhile, now that Booth is back and back to work, he is trying to figure out what was his "coma life" and what is real life. After a few confessions of, "I'm in love with Dr. Brennan," Avalon told Sweets that Booth loves Brennan. Sweets brings in PET scans of Booth's brain that proved the areas that show romantic love and sexual arousal were pretty dormant before the surgery, lit up during his coma, and stayed that way. So even though Sweets no doubt suspected that Booth loved Brennan last season, he was suddenly telling him that he didn't love her before his coma dream. Sweets is trying to figure out if this is real or just after-effects of the coma; I think he is just trying to protect Bones from getting hurt.

This episode has a lot of what we love about Bones: Booth wearing goofy socks to quietly defy authority, Hodgins ”what I got are multiple degrees in botany, geology and entomology”, Angela convincing Brennan to do something whimsical and so un-Dr. Brennan-like", like getting a psychic reading, and so much more.

The guest star in this episode is Cyndi Lauper, who plays the psychic, and she does it very well. She has you wondering if she really is as sweet as she seems at times, and other times you feel she actually might be capable of murder.

This season looks like it will be filled with much tension, many laughs and maybe even some episodes that leave us teary-eyed! I LOVED this season premiere!
