Love It!

Gossip Girl is back and I for one am ecstatic. I spent the entire summer wondering what was going to happen to our favorite fashionistas and resident playboys. When we last left Gossip Girl fans were crying as Serena and Dan broke-up and we were pissed at Chuck for leaving Blair alone in Tuscany. The only glimmer of hope was for Serena and Nate to hook-up, we didn't want them together but it would have been fun to watch those two hotties get it on.

So as the second season began we all hope for a few things to unfold for our favorites while they spent their summer in the Hamptons. Those being Serena and Nate having a hot summer romance, Blair would return from Italy with a vengeance, Dan would be moping for Serena realizing what a mistake he had made and Chuck would be Chuck with a drink in one hand and a girl in the other.

That almost all happened in the first five minutes; thank goodness shows are a little predictable, but not quite. When a leggy blonde appeared on the screen with Nate in her arms, I thought woohoo get your girl on S. But it turned out not to be Serena, instead it is a hot cougar Nate has developed a taste for over the summer. Where is S?

Unfortunately Serena is at the beach working on her tan while moping for Dan. She can't get him off her mind and thinks she made a big mistake letting him go. And her relationship with Nate is just a big scam to protect him from getting caught while bonking a married woman. And then enters Chuck, the resident douche-bag-of-a-man, he is doing what we expected, sitting with a gaggle of topless girls at the beach enjoying the view while sipping on a drink. He shows little remorse for hurting Blair or so it seems.

Blair of course is in Europe having a wonderful time without Chuck and when she gets home to the Hamptons she brought along a new accessory, a hot older college man to make Chuck jealous. Go B! And Dan, Dan is dating a new girl every day in hopes to get Serena out of his mind, so I guess the guy is moping just with his tongue down another girls throat, everyone heals from heartache differently I guess.

So what happened to our faithless foursome? Do S and Dan get back together? Does B get the best of Chuck? And does Nate get caught by his lovers hubby? Yes, Yes and No. Dan and Serena realize after much drama that they still love each other and need each other in their lives. Dan came all the way from New York to see Serena and makes sure she knows how he feels and all is now on the road to recovery or at least this is what we hope.

Blair's new boy-toy is making Chuck insane. He can't find him on any of the Ivy League school rosters and is positive he is using Blair to get into society. But the laugh is on him as we find out that his lack of Ivy League education is because he is a British Lord pretending to be American so Blair can learn to love him for himself. Score one for B!

Nate, poor Nate. He is getting some summer loven but what is going to happen when it all comes crashing down on him? We will just have to wait and see till the next episode, I for one can't wait.
