Love It!

After the season finale last spring, fans and critics were left feeling as if their expectations for 'Bones' were not met. So this season fans and critics alike were hoping for the show to start off with a bang and get the show back on track hopefully rescuing it from being cancelled.

In hopes this wouldn't happen, the cast and crew of 'Bones' were flown across the Atlantic to film the first episode of the fourth season in the U.K. The two-hour season premiere called "Yanks in the UK" aired last Wednesday, September 3 and was not a disappointment for fans who have been eagerly awaiting its return.

One of the best parts for fans of 'Bones' is getting to watching the pairing of Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz). Fans know the pair love each other but they have yet to act on it. It's like they are married just without the benefits of sex, which can be wonderful and irritating for the fans. Their relationship has evolved into love without them realizing it.

In the first episode, Brennan and Booth go to London so Brennan can give a lecture for a comrade when the pair ends up being asked to help solve a murder of a local American girl. But as Brennan works with the local crime investigators unit and Booth works with Scotland Yard, it's Brennan who ends of feeling like a fish out of water.

Booth of course hates London because the Brits drive on the wrong side of the road and they police won't let him have his gun; this of course is hilarious to watch and reminds fans why they love Booth so much. Eventually they let him have his gun and he learns to love London. Brennan on the other hand isn't able to connect with the students and has to deal with the local playboy professor hitting on her. She might have enjoyed it if it weren't for Booth being on her ever thought. As the show progressed the playboy professor gets murdered and the real who-done-it story begins.

Back home in DC, tons of subplots are happening. Angela's (Michaela Conlin) soon to be ex-husband returns and admits that he is still in love with her causing friction between her and her fiancé, Hodgins (T.J. Thyne). Camille (Tamara Taylor) is extremely attracted to Angela's soon to be ex because lets face it - he's a hottie. So Camille sleeps with him instead of helping him catch his flight. And resident psychologist Dr. Sweets (John Francis Daley) is there to help resolved the issues the staff are having. All this while trying to solve two murders which have occurred in London and remain business like at all times: not going to happen.

Thank goodness the season premiere was two hours or the storyline wouldn't have worked. But as it was, the episode was great fun and worth the watch. Now if they would only get Brennan and Bones into bed already - let's hope for some dream sequences real soon.
