Love It

Every once in a while, there will be a lyric, a song, a sound, that just speaks straight to your being. It grows within and you don't know why, but it some how takes flight in your heart and becomes the anthem to your soul.

Adele's new release "21" is one of those albums. Normally I'm a classical girl; I love great works from the past like Debussy, Vivaldi or Bach, but something in Adele's writing has tugged at me since the moment the CD dropped itself at my door.

"21" is about heartache, forgiveness, resolution, misery, love and most importantly, moving on. The music is so deeply personal yet accessible; you can't help but play it over and over again. The album is written primarily by Adele, but other great artists such as Ryan Tedder and Paul Epworth have also gotten involved in the artistry and composition.

Adele is not just a great lyricist; she is also an undeniably great singer. The way she connects to the words and modifies her vowels to get just the right sound is obviously a product of years of hard work. She studied at Croydon's, a famous British school of music where she learned to perfect and hone her craft.

In this day and age, a lot of music is being modified in studio and the talent of an artist is unknown. When you go to see your favorite band, they don't sound a thing like their album, and it's such a disappointment. This is not the case with Adele; she is truly one of the most gifted artists. All she needs is a guitar, a glass of water and a chair to make you realize she is the real thing. No hype, just talent.
