Angels and Demons is the newest film released by Ron Howard and his team. The film follows Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) as he is once again called upon to decipher the clues which, if not solved, could destroy the Vatican...literally.

The Pope has died, and conclave is about to begin. Millions of Catholics are waiting for their new Pope to be named, but they have no clue there is a problem: the four preferitti have been kidnapped. If they can't be found ,who will lead the millions of faithful who follow them?

But that's not the only problem the Vatican has. The Illuminati, an old and ancient enemy, have hired an assassin to take anti-matter from a science lab and bring it to Vatican City. In 24 hours, the annihilating substance will explode and destroy all of Vatican City. The ominous threat is now ticking away hour by hour. Will Langdon and his scientific equal, physicist Vittoria Vetra, be able to find the clues hidden across Rome? Can they find the preferitti and, in doing so, find the anti-matter? Or will they get there too late, and see all of Rome and its treasures be destroyed?

As an avid reader and lover of Dan Brown's work, I was worried I would not like this movie. After all, I didn't love The Da Vinci Code, and it took me several viewings to be able to tolerate it. So I walked into the theater knowing I might hate it.

When the lights dropped and the cells phones were turned off, I was surprised that I actually liked it. I'm not gonna lie and say I loved it; I didn't. There are major plot points from the book which were omitted, so if you are a book lover, you will have a hard time with it. But in the end, Angels and Demons is an entertaining, good time at the movies.
