Love It...

Every once in a while, a book series completely mesmerizes me, and I am tormented while waiting for its newest release. Books series like Harry Potter and The Twilight Saga had me pacing the floor for months, even years, to figure out what was going to happen to my favorite characters. Well, I've added a new series to my pacing routine; Fablehaven has got me completely entranced.

I started reading the series a few years back when, on a whim, I picked up the book while thinking the cover art looked really cool. I read it and loved it. But as each book has progressed, I found myself sucked into its depths and not wanting to leave its magical realm.

Brandon Mull, the author of the Fablehaven series, has spun a marvelous web of words which have captivated my attention and allowed me to journey with his characters as they fight bad guys and overcome their challenges.

Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary is the newest release in the Fablehaven series. It starts off a few months after Kendra and Seth Sorensen's last visit to Fablehaven. The school year is in full swing, and they are preparing for the Christmas holiday when things suddenly take a dramatic and deadly turn. The Society of the Evening Star has discovered how to open the demon prison, and if Kendra, Seth, and their trusted friends can't stop them, the world as we know it will be destroyed.

And so the race to save the world begins, and climbing dangerous cliffs, fighting dragons, outsmarting the Society of the Evening Star is just the beginning of the journey. Kendra and Seth must deal with challenges they never dreamed of, and in the process, are forced to learn who they can and can't trust. And most importantly, they learn how strong they really are and how much they truly need each other.

Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary is a wonderful story which takes the reader through a captivating journey of fighting magical creatures, extreme circumstances, emotional heartache, and unseen plot twists. I loved it, and I'm positive that this family-friendly book will become an instant favorite.
